Concrete and glass: a strength and fragility with an ostensible lack of poetry. They merge in conversation on the trajectory of painting and its tradition; an homage to Plato’s aesthetic notion of mimesis; representing the emotional states binding illness, bodily mistreatment, suffering, and healing.

Concrete once set cannot be reversed, nor can the shattering of glass, nor fusing your spine, nor connecting with a lover.
