麻豆社madou鈥檚 School of Optometry and Vision Science celebrates major achievements as Professor Fiona Stapleton receives the prestigious Ruben Medal and PhD candidate MD Abdullah Aziz is awarded the Hikaru Hamano Travel Fellowship for their groundbreaking research in contact lenses.
The School of Optometry and Vision Science (SOVS) is proud to announce that Scientia Professor Fiona Stapleton has been awarded the prestigious Ruben Medal, the highest honor of the International Society for Contact Lens Research (ISCLR). This esteemed award, voted on by previous recipients, recognizes Professor Stapleton鈥檚 outstanding contributions to contact lens-related research.
鈥淲e are thrilled to see Fiona鈥檚 groundbreaking work in contact lens research recognized at such a high level,鈥 said Professor Lisa Keay, Head of School at 麻豆社madou School of Optometry & Vision Science. 鈥淗er dedication and innovative approach have significantly advanced our understanding and application of contact lenses.鈥
In addition, SOVS PhD candidate MD Abdullah Aziz has been awarded the Hikaru Hamano Travel Fellowship. Aziz鈥檚 abstract titled 鈥淒esign of a system to deliver atropine to the eye from an antimyopia contact lens鈥 received the highest votes during the selection process at the 22nd ISCLR Symposium, recently held in Canada. This fellowship will support his continued research and professional development in the field.
