Born and educated in China with a master's degree��from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and then a PhD from the University of Sydney, Ping Wang is an Associate Professor of classical Chinese literature and philosophy in the School of Humanities and Languages in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture. She is the co-author of Daxue��&������;���ܳ�DzԲ���DzԲ���(2012), an extensive study of commentaries on Daxue and Zhongyong, two of the “Four Books” considered amongst the most critically important Confucian classics and Chinese philosophy more broadly, as well as the Mingjia & Related Texts��(2020): essentials in the understanding of the development of pre-Qin philosophy.��

Wang’s research covers the area of classical Chinese philosophy and literature with a focus on poetry, in particular������-poetry, one of the main poetic genres in the history of Chinese literature. Her research also extends to Chinese literati art and aesthetics. Interdisciplinary approach marks her research.��She is an invited research collaborator with international institutions across Asia, Europe and the US, as well as a recipient of a number of international fellowships, including Artist-in-Residence, Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, France, and Affiliated Fellow, ��the International Institute for Asian Studies, Leiden University, the Netherlands.����Before joining �鶹��madou, Wang��has also taught at universities in China and America.��
