AGSM Part-Time MBA scholarships provide support for eligible students from diverse backgrounds to gain a world-class education at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in Sydney.

  • The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) offers scholarships to AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) students who can demonstrate ongoing commitment, engagement and leadership in supporting, developing and contributing to better social outcomes in business, public and/or social purpose sectors, and the capacity to apply their studies to further the strategic development of the social purpose sector.

    Interested candidates are required to submit an application online through the website to be considered for this scholarship.

    Value and funding

    Up to three scholarships will be awarded each year. The following scholarships are available:

    • One CSI AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) Scholarship will be awarded to the value of $25,000 to assist with tuition fees
    • Two CSI AGSM MBAX (Social Impact) Scholarships will be awarded to the value of $12,500 to assist with tuition fees

    These decisions are made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Three scholarships are open to all applicants who are currently enrolled or enrolling in the MBA (Social Impact) at Â鶹Éçmadou.

  • The AGSM Alumni Community Leader Scholarship is open to eligible candidates applying for either the AGSM MBA (Executive) or the AGSM MBAX program and will cover the full tuition fees for the program, including Executive Year residential costs.

    Selection process and how to apply

    The AGSM Alumni Community Leader Scholarship is open to talented emerging leaders and managers currently working in the not-for-profit sector who can demonstrate a history of academic or work achievement and strong community connectivity in their scholarship application.

    Selection criteria

    This scholarship is for candidates in the not-for-profit sector located in Australia. Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Demonstrated commitment and evidence of long-term contribution to supporting disadvantaged individuals and/or communities
    • Demonstrated management or leadership qualities
    • Reasons for undertaking the proposed course of study
    • Potential to contribute to the AGSM MBA program and the Â鶹Éçmadou Business School community

    Value and funding

    The scholarship covers all tuition fees costs, plus residential costs associated with the AGSM MBA (Executive) and MBAX programs.

    The successful applicant will be decided at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is open to all applicants who receive an offer of admission to the AGSM (Executive) or AGSM MBAX program. Applicants must be Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Australia or New Zealand Citizens.

    Applicants must not be a recipient of any other funding, or any other form of financial support connected with study, from their organisation or another company.

    Strong consideration will be given to applicants who are employed by a recognised not-for-profit community-based organisation, which provides services to disadvantaged individuals and/or communities.

  • Funded by the Thyne Reid Foundation, the Andrew Thyne Reid Scholarship aims to support students undertaking the AGSM MBA program who work in the not-for-profit sector.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic Merit
    • Leadership skills (workplace, or community)

    Value and funding

    $12,500 to assist with tuition fees.

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is open to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and New Zealand Citizens who receive an offer of admission to the AGSM (Executive) or AGSM MBAX program, and are working in the not-for-profit sector, preferably the charitable sector.

  • The AGSM Indigenous Leaders Scholarship is designed to provide support to an Australian Indigenous student to undertake an eligible AGSM Postgraduate Program.

    Selection process and how to apply

    Candidates will be eligible to apply for this scholarship once they have submitted an application for or commenced in one of the AGSM MBA or Master of Management programs. Please refer to the for selection process and application details.

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Leadership qualities (school, workplace and/or community)

    Value and funding

    This scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition amount paid as a tuition fee waiver.

    These decisions are made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    These scholarships are open to all Australian Indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who are currently studying or receive an offer of admission to one of the AGSM @ Â鶹Éçmadou Business School programs:

    • AGSM Full-Time MBA
    • AGSM MBA (Executive)
    • AGSM MBAX
    • AGSM Master of Management

    One recipient will be awarded this scholarship per term.

  • Funded by Emeritus Professor Richard Henry AM and the late Dr Rachel Oberon, this scholarship is designed to support an Australian Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander student to undertake or continue any MBA program within AGSM, with preference for MBA (Social Impact).

    Candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship once they have submitted an application for any AGSM MBA program. Please refer to the for selection process and application details.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:

    • Academic merit
    • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
    • Aptitude and commitment to supporting, developing and contributing to better social outcomes in the business, public and/or social purpose sectors

    Value and funding

    One recipient will be awarded this scholarship and will receive a value of up to $60,000 to be paid against the tuition fees for the duration of the AGSM MBA program.

    This decision will be made at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

    Eligibility

    These scholarships are open to all Australian Indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who are commencing or continuing postgraduate coursework study in any AGSM MBA* program.

    *Preference will be given to the MBAx (Social Impact) program

  • The Belgiorno-Nettis Scholarship will provide an opportunity for outstanding MBA candidate who otherwise may not be able to access an MBA at AGSM @ Â鶹Éçmadou Business School.

    Selection process and how to apply

    Candidates will be eligible to apply for this scholarship once they have submitted an application for one of the AGSM Part-Time MBA programs or are a continuing student in an eligible program.

    Â鶹Éçmadou Scholarships will allocate the Award to those students identified to be in the greatest need based on the data provided by UAC.

    Selection criteria

    Applicants will be considered based on their UAC Equity Scholarship.

    To be eligible, applicants must be commencing or currently enrolled in an eligible AGSM MBA program

    Value and funding

    One full scholarship to the value of $40,000 and will be tenable for the minimum duration of an eligible degree program.

    This Scholarship may be used towards tuition fees, living expenses, residential fees or other costs associated with study.

    This scholarship will be allocated based on need identified through their UAC equity scholarship applications

    Eligibility

    This scholarship is open to all domestic Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) and/or New Zealand Citizen.

    The successful candidate must be commencing postgraduate coursework study or has receive an offer of admission to one of the following AGSM @ Â鶹Éçmadou Business School programs:

    • AGSM MBA (Executive)
    • AGSM MBAX

    There is one recipient per year for this scholarship.
