CDEV3013 Experience Term enables students to undertake a purposefully designed 12 UOC course load ‘experience term’. The course emphasises problem-based learning in an interdisciplinary context which provides students with the opportunity to appreciate the purpose and lens of their own discipline mastery. Themes of the course include applied research; community and social Impact; government and industry engagement; leadership development; and global immersion.  

CDEV3013 can be undertaken either locally or overseas where content may be delivered and assessed by one of Â鶹Éçmadou’s partner universities, is available to domestic and international undergraduate students and can be undertaken as a General Education/Free Elective course.

University of Warwick International Study Program

The University of Warwick’s Term 2 2025 program gives students the opportunity to have an immersive term-long experience of problem-based learning in an interdisciplinary context. Themes of the course include community and social Impact, leadership development and global immersion.

Â鶹Éçmadou students who join the program will undertake two modules at the University of Warwick in Warwick (UK) and/or Venice (Italy), and receive 12 units of credit towards their degree through enrolment in this course.

  • The University of Warwick’s 2025 program offers a range of interdisciplinary modules covering history, literature, politics, sustainability and international business. for more details. 

    Travelling is between 2 June and 18 July, depending on the selected modules. Â鶹Éçmadou students who join the program will undertake two modules at the University of Warwick in the Warwick campus (UK), Venice campus (Italy), or both, and receive 12 units of credit towards their degree through enrolment in CDEV3013 Experience Term.

  • CDEV3013 Experience Term is available for students who are an undergraduate student who have completed 48 UOC by course commencement. 

    To undertake this course you must have 12 UOC available as General Education/Free Elective in your degree. It can be taken as 12 UOC of General Education, 12 UOC of Free Elective, or a combination of both (6 UOC each).

  • Visa

    Arrangement of visa application, all associated costs, and any implications of leaving the country of study during studies is the student’s responsibility.

    • For Warwick modules students who require a visa to enter UK, i.e. are a visa national, need to apply for a (Standard Visitor) visa in advance of visiting the UK. A letter to confirm attendance at University of Warwick campus for the module teaching period can be provided on request, and students will likely need a letter from their home institution confirming their approval of their attending and will return to them after the module, assuming they are still registered to study with them.
    • For Venice modules, as we are running the WIISP modules, there is no sponsor in the host country. As such, students should be applying for a Tourist Schengen short-stay Visa (cannot apply for a Student Schengen Visa for Study purposes).
    Accommodation

    Please note that students are responsible for identifying and booking their own accommodation. WIISP will simply provide direction on where some students stayed previously and have recommended. Students are advised to consider the varying facilities, including security and reception facilities provided at different accommodations. Staff will not be on hand or available outside of teaching hours to help with minor incidents.

    Students will be required to arrange their own:
    • Flights, transit and visa (if required to enter UK and Europe).
    • Daily transport, meals/living costs, vaccinations, personal expenses, personal tourism and social activities whilst overseas. 
  • In addition to the , students must pay a program fee to participate. 

    Students self-funded additional costs include but are not limited to:

    • airfares
    • accommodation (approx. £225 - £680 per week depending on option and location)
    • living expenses (approx. £150 per week for groceries and local travel)
    • social activities and tourism.

    You must ensure you can finance your flights, accommodation, and living expenses prior to applying for the program.

    Please note:
    • CDEV3013 is not self-enrolled. Students will go through an interview process with WIL Central. Once successful, students will be enrolled by the WIL Central Team. 
    • 12 UOC is equivalent to 2 courses of your degree. Students must enrol in a maximum of one other online course in Term 2 2025 to ensure study load.Â
