Meet the Executive Team

Parkarsh Kumar

President

As a newcomer in Australia, I experienced the warmth of friendship, good advice, and memorable events, courtesy of the PGSOC community. It is now an honour to have been elected by my fellow graduate students to serve as the President of the Materials Postgraduate Society (PGSOC), following my previous role as Grievance Officer. Thanks to the wonderful team, we received no grievances - only love and encouragement. Together, we embraced opportunities to network, engage, bond, and celebrate cultural events. Building on the achievements of the past team, I am excited to lead a new, energetic team dedicated to fostering an innovative, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and diversity. On behalf of the team, I can say that this year, we'll be celebrating more diverse cultural events, host academic and outdoor events, and sprinkle in a little fun to give everyone a much-needed escape from research!"
