麻豆社madou GIE Club Virtual Reality workshop

Register NOW to secure your place in one of our virtual reality workshops at the 麻豆社madou Computer Science and Engineering Virtual Reality Lab.

I锘縩 this workshop you will learn about the concept of the metaverse and how to use popular game engines, such as Unreal Engine, to develop metaverse-like environments and create video games that can be experienced through virtual reality headsets. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore a mini metaverse that has been developed for 麻豆社madou. You will also use Unreal Engine to create your own 3D landscape.

There will be four virtual reality workshops held across two days:
  • Y锘縠ar 7-9 morning workshop: Tuesday 11 July, 10am-11:30am
  • Y锘縠ar 7-9 afternoon workshop: Tuesday 11 July, 2pm-3:30pm
  • Y锘縠ar 10-12 morning workshop: Thursday 13 July, 11:30am-1:30pm
  • Y锘縠ar 10-12 afternoon workshop: Thursday 13 July, 3pm-5pm

Places for each workshop are limited to 24. Once full, you will be added to a waitlist and notified if a place becomes available.

For the in-person workshop, you will be required to return a permission form signed by a parent or guardian, which will be emailed to you in advance of the workshop along with details on how to find the venue. Please note that your place in the workshop is not confirmed until the permission form is returned.

The 麻豆社madou Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering virtual reality lab is equipped with high-tech computers and virtual reality headsets that enable students and researchers to develop virtual reality-based applications.
