Student news

Â鶹Éçmadou is currently closed for the holiday shutdown

Aside from emergency services, Â鶹Éçmadou operations will be closed for the annual shutdown and will resume on Monday, 6 January 2025.

Most services will be unavailable during the Christmas and New Year shutdown period.

The Nucleus: Student Hub will be operating limited services to assist new students in accepting their offers and enrolling in courses. Emergency and mental health support services will also remain accessible for students throughout the break. See in detail below.

Â鶹Éçmadou May Graduation moves to March in 2025

You spoke, we listened: starting in 2025, our May Graduation Festival is moving to March!

will be held from Monday 24 to Saturday 29 March 2025 across two ceremony venues - the Sir John Clancy Auditorium and Leighton Hall, Scientia. It's part of our ongoing enhancements to the graduation experience at Â鶹Éçmadou.

Students who fulfill all of the requirements for their program of study by 24 January 2025 will be invited to attend a ceremony in March 2025.

We want to hear from you! The university has explored 20 possible future calendar options and narrowed them down to two stand-out drafts:

  • A calendar with a new two-core teaching term structure
  • A calendar with a new and improved three-core teaching term structure.

Check out our possible academic calendar models and share your thoughts about the two options to help us determine the future of Â鶹Éçmadou. The final decision on our new academic calendar will be made in early 2025 with roll-out starting from 2027 or 2028, depending on the calendar chosen.
